Basic Facts:

- Nippon Music Champ was a two hour Japanese music radio show that aired Sundays from 6pm to 8pm on WRAS Atlanta 88.5 FM. It's first broadcast was on June 2nd, 2002 and it's final broadcast was on May 1st, 2011.

- The show was voted Listeners' Choice: Best Specialty Show in the 2008 WRAS Awards.

- Since its first broadcast NMC has exposed listeners to the variety of music present in the contemporary Japanese music scene, with an emphasis on independent and underground artists. Also highlighted were musical movements of the past including early Jazz, Group Sounds (60s Rock'n'Roll), and Punk and New Wave of the 1980s.

- The songs in the show's promo spot were: Do I Know You by Pine*am from the album Pull The Rabbit Ears, Talk About Love by The Emeralds from the album Love Is Rolling, and Bara no Hana by Quruli from the album Team Rock
