Show Notes

Shinda Boku no Kanojo (My Dead Girlfriend)
The band alternates between using their name in Japanese and in English, therefore I have provided both. Total Feedback is a collection of Japanese shoegaze, dreampop, etc. artists complied by Hata Yuuske of the band cruyff in the bedroom.

Angel'in Heavy Syrup
Angel'in Heavy Syrup CDs are now very hard to come by, however this best of collection is available through iTunes.

Depending upon where you look, the album is listed under its English translation. I have provided both for you.

S'il Vous Plait - Fantastic Plastic Machine
Fun Fact: This song is used briefly in the seventh episode of the British TV series Spaced staring Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes.

The 50 Kaitenz

Tonight on air I mentioned that The 50 Kaitenz were "Faster than a record but slower than a CD". The band's name translates to "The 50rpms".

Bara no Hana - Quruli

Bara no Hana is third song in the promo spot for NMC. The female vocals in this song are provided by Miki from Supercar. "Bara" means "rose" in Japanese and "Hana" means "flower". "Bara no Hana" can either translate to just "Rose" or is also can directly refer to the bud of the flower. The band has used both translations, but now seem to be using "Rose". You can hear the song on Quruli's myspace page.
