Show Notes

New Music: OOIOO
OOIOO are an all-female group founded by Boredoms drummer Yoshimi. "Armonico Hewa" is a combination of words ("armonico" is Spanish and "hewa" is Swahili) that is defined by the band as "air in a harmonious state".

Night Talker - Safety Scissors Mix - Sketch Show
In 2002, Hosono Haruomi and Takahashi Yukihiro of Yellow Magic Orchestra formed Sketch Show. The group releases two albums, but as Sakamoto Ryuichi (the third member of YMO) began to contribute more to the group, the members moved on to work under the name Human Audio Sponge. Safety Scissors is Matthew Patterson Curry, a minimal techno artist who lives in San Francisco.

Traveler In The Wonderland - Susumu Yokota
On his album Symbol , Susumu Yokota samples a wide range of classical music. For example, this song uses such pieces as Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D major and Saint Saens' Carnival of the Animals.
