Show Notes

Fumio Hayasaka
Fumio Hayasaka was a composer of classical music and film scores. Ancient Dances On the Left and On the Right was composed in 1941 and here in the US it is available on the Naxos release Hayasaka: Piano Concerto, Ancient Dances On the Left and On the Right. Please note that the company decided to spell his first name "Humiwo" but it is still the same person.

On week's show I once again played songs from some of the internationally available benefit releases to help with the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

Nihon Kizuna (About, bandcamp site)

This collection gathers 50 artists from all over the world and features many exclusive and previously unreleased music. This collection was put together by small group of Tokyo-based artists (from Japan, Ukraine and France) and one visiting London-based journalist (from Italy) over the course of five days.
